The Vi Peel is an excellent choice for those with acne or hyperpigmentation that has not responded to other treatments. It is a gentle yet powerful medical-grade chemical peel for the treatment of acne and acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, age and sun spots, hyperpigmentation, melasma, rosacea, and enlarged pores.
The Vi Peel is safe and effective on all skin types and colors and can be used on the face, neck chest, arms, back, and legs, and is the only peel safe for the under-eye area. It is also painless and requires minimal downtime. With the Vi Peel, the magic is in the formula. A blend of Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA), Tretinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, Vitamin C, and other minerals work together to safely remove the damaged layers of the skin, promote cellular turnover, and refine the surface layer for a smoother, clearer, firmer skin that has a more youthful and radiant appearance.
For those with melasma and hyperpigmentation, there are not a lot of options for removing discoloration. In some cases, lasers are not able to treat these areas and may even make the pigmentation problems worse, this is where the Vi Peel comes in! The Vi Peel is different from other peels in that it tackles skin problems at the cellular level rather than just burning skin off as in a regular peel. Thanks to the concerted actions of its many acids and vitamins, it will help erase fine lines and wrinkles, shrink enlarged pores and build collagen and elastin to tighten skin. It is extremely effective in eliminating hyper pigmentation including melasma, a dark discoloration of the skin that is the most difficult issue to address. The Vi Peel™ also provides excellent results for patients with acne. You will notice skin brightening, increased collagen production, skin tightening and a more even skin tone.
What does the Vi Peel treat?
How does Vi Peel work?
This peel penetrates into the dermis of the skin, working to resurface mild acne scars, sun damage and signs of aging. Basic peels and facials do not penetrate as deeply as this treatment, making it one of the most effective options available.
Who is the Vi Peel for?
Ideal candidates for a Vi Peel are fair to medium in skin color and are looking to improve mild to moderate skin damage, heal acne, and reverse the signs of early aging. This treatment may cause hyperpigmentation on those with darker skin tones, so it is important to consult with a trusted practitioner to determine if you are a good candidate.
Where on the body can the Vi Peel be used?
How is the Vi Peel done?
A Vi Peel is relatively painless for most people, but more sensitive types may experience a mild to moderate burning or tingling sensation that is tolerable without topical anesthetic or pain medication. A cooling device may be used to minimize any discomfort.
During a Vi Peel the skin is cleansed and then the solution is evenly applied in two phases: one to penetrate into the skin cells on the skin’s surface, and the other to go deeper into the dermis where toxins and dead skin cells are hiding. The solution dries quickly and you are free to resume daily activities, but must wait 5 hours before washing it off.
How long does it take?
The Vi Peel treatment takes 20 to 45 minutes.
What is the cost?
$220 per peel
$550 for a package of 3
Are there any side effects?
There are no immediate effects of the Vi Peel; it takes 2 to 3 days before skin begins peeling, and it will continue to do so for up to 6 days. During the peeling process skin may have unusual coloring with red, brown, or yellowish tones, but more commonly it looks like a slight sunburn that is flaking off.
What are the benefits of the Vi Peel?
As a part of post-treatment home care, special peeling wipes with Retin-A and other minerals are given to help you stimulate skin peeling and expedite results.
Once the skin finishes peeling, minor improvements are visible, but full results take 4 to 6 weeks to appear, at which point skin is smoother, firmer, clearer, with a more youthful and radiant glow than before.
Recommended course for optimal results?
Noticeable results are realized after the first Vi Peel treatment; however, for ideal results the recommended course of treatment is 3 to 6 treatments spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, followed by biannual maintenance treatments.
How long does the Vi Peel last?
The effects of the Vi Peel last for months, however, this does not mean that skin is not susceptible to re-damage or the aging process. As the skin ages, cell turn over and collagen growth diminishes greatly, requiring more maintenance treatments.
